When you create a SKU Clear account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed version of your password; we never store your actual password. As you use the app, we store the information you enter: products, pack sizes, UPCs, pricing, ingredient names, vendors and their contacts, channels, documents and their expiration dates and links, and brand profiles. If you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment; we store a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription, never your card number. If you use the contact form or subscribe to the newsletter, we store your name, email address, and message. When you download a free resource, we record which resource your account downloaded.
If you apply to the affiliate program, we collect your legal name, payout email, mailing address, phone number, and your description of how you plan to promote SKU Clear, and we keep records of your referral links, their clicks, referred accounts, and commissions. When someone visits SKU Clear through an affiliate link, we record the click and the page it landed on, and the visitor's browser stores the referral code for up to 60 days so a later signup can be credited. Affiliates see masked customer emails, never full customer details or account data.
We don't store recipes, formulas, ingredient quantities, or ratios; there is no field for them. We don't store the document files you link to. We don't use advertising trackers and we don't sell your data.
SKU Clear keeps you signed in with a secure, HttpOnly session cookie. Your browser may also store non-sensitive preferences such as your remembered email address and an affiliate referral code. When Google Analytics is enabled, it may set analytics cookies to measure site and app traffic, signups, and conversions. You can clear browser storage and cookies at any time.
We use your data to operate the service: to sign you in, run readiness checks, show your dashboard and reports, generate spec sheets, send expiration and account emails such as password resets, process payments, credit and pay affiliates, respond to support requests, and prevent abuse. If you've subscribed to the newsletter, we use your email for occasional product updates. Analytics help us understand traffic, improve pages, and measure campaigns.
We share data only with the services that make SKU Clear work: Railway for hosting and databases, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, and Google Analytics for traffic measurement. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. Your catalog, vendors, documents, and brand information are private to your account and never visible to other customers. We may disclose information if required by law.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists, including after a paid plan is canceled, so nothing is lost if you return. Affiliate and commission records are kept as long as needed for payouts, tax, and accounting. To delete your account and its data, contact us through the contact page and we'll process the request.
You can view, correct, and delete most of your data directly in the app. For anything you can't change yourself, including full account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us and we'll accommodate applicable requests.
Passwords are hashed, authenticated sessions use secure HttpOnly cookies with expiration and rotation, data is transmitted over encrypted connections, sign-in and signup are rate limited, and account data is isolated per account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active subscribers by email.
